Rolls-Royce Taps Into Its Wild Side for The Animal Ball

When in London, rare is the opportunity—albeit not the desire—to do something dramatically positive for wildlife.

That’s why, when presented with such an opportunity, Rolls-Royce jumped at the chance.

And what exactly was that chance?—it was The Animal Ball, hosted by the Elephant Family Charity.

A fleet of the finest Rolls-Royce Motor Cars—Phantoms, Ghosts, Wraiths, and Dawns—assembled to carry esteemed guests to a series of dinners hosted by highly regaling personalities at London’s most elite dining venues, culminating with a glittering masquerade ball at the Victoria House.

Clad in wares designed to help them embrace the spirit of various animal personae—including beautifully made couture masks designed by leading fashion houses, including Chloé, Jimmy Choo, Alice Temperley and Burberry—members of London’s most prestigious social scenes gathered to help raise funds to be used in addressing the ever-escalating human-animal conflict.

Partnering with Rolls-Royce to create the complete cultural experience were a group of White Glove Chauffeurs—those professional chauffeurs who have earned title and recognition for their mastery in the art of chauffeuring.

When asked about their participation in The Animal Ball—the undisputed kickoff to this year’s festive party season—Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, didn’t make any attempt to disguise his enthusiasm about the marque’s participation.

“As the world’s most celebrated luxury house, [Rolls-Royce] is delighted to support a cause that does such vital work in protecting elephants and their habitat. I can think of no better enhancement to a wonderful and charitable evening than to be conveyed to a masked Ball in the sanctuary of a Rolls-Royce motor car.”
