A beautiful sunny morning at Burhill Golf Club was awaiting the HR Owen Bentley customers on Wednesday 4th July. Stood on the terrace, with breakfast and coffee, our guests enjoyed views across the course they were about to tackle whilst greeting friends, colleagues and team mates.
At 9am, on the sound of the shotgun, 14 teams kicked off the day. A challenging course awaited, however the beautifully maintained greens, great chat and fresh drinks kept spirits high through the 18 holes. When players reached the 6th hole they were met by the longest drive challenge, with an added twist! Our friends from Bentley Golf had bought along some of their exclusive product for our customers to try, they took great delight in comparing the distance and accuracy of a Bentley driver vs. the original shot.
After completing the final challenge of the day, nearest the pin on hole 18, the golf wrapped up and the most important parts of the day started; drinks, cars and food! With a cool drink in hand, guests were able to look at some fantastic cars from across the full Bentley range. With the Bentayga, Supersports and Continental GTC all on display there was a car to suit every taste, however as we have come to expect, the new Continental GT stole the show! With three specs on display in front of the beautiful Burhill club house, it was hard not to be drawn in.
With many guests having driven to the day in their previous Continental models, the comparisons of look, performance and interior stimulated some exciting conversation. The newest Bentley model has received excellent reviews from critics and the feeling was shared amongst our guests whilst they shared stories of test drives and track days.
As the smell of the BBQ enticed guests back to the terrace, the conversation turned to a competitive nature. With some delicious food and eyes scanning the prize table, the tallying of the score cards commenced. The lucky winner walked away with a stunning Bentley Golf leather holdall, which will come in very useful for his other prize… a trip away to a fantastic British golf course, courtesy of Handpicked Hotels! With prizes from the Bentley Collection also going to second place, winning team, nearest the pin and longest drive, everyone walked away with some exclusive gifts from the team at HR Owen Bentley.
