H.R. Owen brands showcase new cars at Goodwood Festival of Speed

(London, 9 July 2019) The 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed was another successful event for H.R. Owen and some of its respective brand partners – Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BAC, Rolls Royce, Maserati and Bentley.

The annual four-day event, which takes place in the exquisite surroundings of Goodwood House, featured some of the world’s finest examples of automotive engineering. Considered a highlight on the automotive calendar, H.R. Owen customers and car enthusiasts alike were able to get up close and personal with some of the rarest and most prestigious vehicles money-can-buy.

Aston Martin

Celebrating 70 years since their inaugural race at Goodwood, Aston Martin were at the core of the celebrations throughout the Festival of Speed. Featured in the event’s iconic Central Sculpture was the distinguished 1956 DBR1, which Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby used to claim first place at the 1959 Le Mans, 60 years ago.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Gaydon-based car brand incorporated examples of almost every model produced by the organisation, including the DBX Prototype, DB11 AMR and DBS Superleggera Volante.

Ferrari

For the 2019 Festival of Speed, Ferrari provided automotive enthusiasts a rare treat – bringing a trio of one-off special commissions together in public for the very first time. Making the trip from Maranello, Ferrari brought over with them the track-only Ferrari P80/C, the F12tdf-based SP3JC and the Ferrari Monza SP2. These one-off commissions drove alongside the 488 Pista, 812 Superfast, FXX K Evo, GTC4 Lusso and Portofino.

Lamborghini

At this year’s event, Lamborghini showcased an exclusive line up to visitors – featuring both the Urus and Huracan Evo Spyder. However, the Italian car company revealed to the public for the first time, the SC18 Alston.

Created by Squadra Corse, the SC18 Alston was the first one-off in the history of the Sant’ Agata Bolognese motorsport division. Designed alongside the customer and Centro Stile Lamborghini, the exclusive car was designed to be used on tracks, although is capable of driving on roads too.

Bentley

In its centenary year, Bentley displayed some of its iconic past and present vehicles at Festival of Speed, from the oldest surviving Bentley, 3-litre, to the all-new 2019 Flying Spur.

As part of its anniversary celebrations at Goodwood, Bentley hosted a Centenary Concours on the house’s cricket pitch – made up from 30 of the rarest and most valuable Bentleys in the world. In addition to this, the hillclimb featured a run dedicated entirely to Bentley. The recently released Continental GTC, Bentayga Speed and Flying Spur, all took to the track.

BAC

Following its successful predecessor, the Mono, BAC unveiled its new Mono R at the festival. Two years in the making, the Mono R shares very few traits with the Mono besides its chassis dimensions. With only 30 being made, visitors to the festival were able to see a very exclusive car in action, demonstrating its extraordinary performance.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Whilst only being a stone’s throw from Rolls-Royce’s home, Goodwood Festival of Speed provided the luxury car company an opportunity to recreate the Grand Courtyard – as seen at the Home of Rolls-Royce – to customers and car enthusiasts. Alongside this, Rolls-Royce featured the global debut of red Starlight Headliner and the British debut of Wraith Eagle VIII Collection Car. Rolls-Royce’s Phantom, Cullinan and Black Badge all drove up the hillclimb.

Maserati

Now with a 581bhp V8 engine, Maserati have developed a more powerful variant of its Levante SUV, named the Levante Trofeo. Due to arrive in the UK this Autumn alongside the Levante GTS, the Trofeo was driven up Goodwood’s famous hillclimb in front of spectators, revealing its incredible power.
