Rolls-Royce Chauffeurs to Cliveden House

As the leading, London-based female networking organisation, The Women’s Chapter frequently invites its 1,600 “business leaders, innovators, senior professionals and entrepreneurs” to a variety of exclusive events, but few as fantastic as an afternoon at the Cliveden House.
Originally built in the 17th century by the Second Duke of Buckingham, Cliveden has hosted hunts, parties, and just about any other type of function imaginable in its almost 350 year existence.
It has entertained the likes of Queen Victoria, William Waldorf Astor, George I, Frederick Prince of Wales, Winston Churchill, Bernard Shaw, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Charlie Chaplin, and a long litany of Dukes and Earls.
Now under private ownership and operation, the Cliveden has become one of the U.K.’s finest hotels having just undergone a £20m refurbishment and is the proud sister hotel of the world-renowned Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa in Hampshire.
It is to this privileged and pampered setting a fleet of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars delivered the high-power personalities of The Women’s Chapter for an exclusive tour of the property led by author and journalist, Jessica Fellowes, niece of Julian Fellowes, the creator of Downton Abbey.

Jessica, who also works as a public speaker, gave a highly informative talk, speaking about Cliveden’s history and the real-life inspirations for the show and what inspired her to create the book about the characters fans from across the globe have come to adore.
Following the walk-around, guests were invited to relax in one of Cliveden’s plush parlours where a selection of fine champagnes and teas were presented.
The high-powered day was one of a calibre Women’s Chapter members have come to expect from their events. Designed to encourage growth and development against a backdrop of refinement, fashion, architecture, and art, their workshops cover a variety of topics including leadership, social welfare and lifestyle improvement.
When the lively discussions and thoughtful conversations came to their natural conclusion, the Rolls-Royce’s whisked the ladies of The Women’s Chapter back home.
